Telstar provides added value and global solutions to address technological areas as diverse as Life and Health Sciences (Pharmaceutical, biotech and related industries), Scientific Research and Development (studies for aerospace, telecommunications, microelectronics, etc...) and Industry (automotive, domestic and industrial cooling, chemicals, etc...).

Established in 1963, Telstar has diversified its business and has undergone rapid growth. Operating in over a hundred countries, Telstar has a worldwide presence, with manufacturing plants in Spain, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Holland, Germany and Estonia, centres of technology excellence in Spain, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States; and engineering, consulting and validation service centres in Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, India, China, Algeria, Italy, Portugal and Spain, and also a sales office in Mexico. As a global company, Telstar is constantly expanding its international presence and nowadays over 80% of total turnover is generated outside of Spain. Based in Terrassa, a town close to the dynamic metropolitan area of Barcelona (Spain), Telstar currently has a team of 850 highly qualified employees.

Telstar has developed a strong customer-oriented perspective and based on this has organised its business into three divisions to address the requirements of each of its target markets:

• Telstar Life Science solutions: Design, manufacture and sales of complete and integrated equipment solutions in the process field with in-house sterilization, freeze-drying, containment and clean air technologies for the Life and Health Sciences (pharmaceuticals, medicine, biotechnology, etc...) Engineering, consulting, construction and installation services for life sciences field, integrating knowledge and technologies to provide optimal solutions with a high added value to our customers for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and veterinary industry and research centers.

• Telstar Vacuum solutions: Design, manufacture and sales of vacuum pumps and Hi.gh and Ultra High Vacuum systems for industrial applications (automation, domestic and industrial refrigeration) Research & Development Centers (Nuclear Fusion, Synchrotrons, Aerospace and Astrophysical Institutes).

• Telstar Instruments for solutions: High technology instrumentation sales for Industrial and Scientific Research & Development, predominantly focused on surface analysis and metrology techniques at nanometric scale, thermal analysis and cryogenics, High Vacuum and UHV instruments and components and Vacuum evaporation techniques for thin film deposition.
