Having consolidated themselves in the US market, the Telstar flexible isolators burst upon the Spanish market with in-house containment technology.

Telstar is launching onto the Spanish market for the pharmaceutical industry a new range of flexible wall containment isolators developed for special applications which require safe and controlled working conditions at a low investment cost. Although they provide the same degree of containment as rigid isolators, they are specially designed for small batch production or for single-use applications. Ideal for the manufacture of small batches in the development stage of new solid drugs or in research and development laboratories which require highly versatile and flexible equipment suited to different research processes.

Having wide experience in the US market, where the supply of flexible isolators accounts for 20% of total production of containment equipment, Telstar has decided to strengthen its commercial strategy in the Spanish and European market, where the increasing use of HPAPIs and higher-risk products and ever stricter operator health protection legislation is necessitating greater use of equipment with the highest degree of containment during the handling of toxic materials.

Developed with in-house containment technology, Telstar flexible isolators make it possible to work with OEL ≤ 1µg/m³ products for 8 working hours (TWA), and they are designed, manufactured and validated according to the required application.

With the development of its flexible isolators, Telstar has completed its range of containment equipment, thus becoming one of the few international companies - and the only Spanish one - able to design and manufacture all kinds of rigid and flexible containment and aseptic process solutions (laminar flow systems, weighing booths, rigid and flexible isolators), with higher and more advanced protection levels for applications that involve handling toxic or hazardous materials.
