Telstar's IR-30-LD is a sniffer leak detector specific for SF6 gas, for industrial purposes. Its principle is the infrared absorption of the SF6 gas. The leak detector is not radioactive and its sensor is not a consumable.

Main advantages are:

• Short response time
• Few false alarms in the specific infrared wavelength
• Stable reading
• Incorporated calibrated leak, NIST traceable

The instrument has two operation modes:

Search Mode allows a fast way to locate the leak points

Measure Mode allows a near quantitative value for the leak flow

Leak units are selectable: ounces/year, grams/year and ppm among others
